just asked somebody on FB:
who runs filing systems
like physicalish ones. kind of
cause when I worked at the fox museum I re-organized the filing system cause it sucked. like for funsies. cause I had time. and cause I couldnt find nothing. and all sorts of stuff wasnt entered, or was but not properly
THEN in security when my boss went away for a week and made me the interim boss I re-organized the filing system there as well
THEN at my next job I did the same for another stuff, and now I'm doing it for the internet game I'm helping moderate
so uh
can I turn that into a job? and if so what's that called

Why Ankara is the capital of turkey
Preface: if you don't know why Istanbul is not the capital of Turkey, google that, as this is a different question.
-----
This question is hard to find the answer to. In fact, I never did find the answer, and had to do the digging myself.
Basra, Izmir, Trabzon, Samsun, Antalya, Adana, and Antakya were all in danger of enemy occupation.
Ankara, Kayseri, and Konya were the only 3 logical choices.
Kayseri was much smaller than either Ankara or Konya at the time, and, was further east, and further away from the centre of Turkish culture and the economy. (and the rail network for that matter)
Konya, however, was in many ways a more logical choice. So why not Konya?
First off, the city had a larger Greek population. Secondly, the city was assigned to Italy's sphere of influence, and as such, there was a risk that it too could fall to an enemy.
Hence Ankara beats out the other 2 options.
During the war against Greece, Turkey even was ready to move to Kayseri as a backup capital, but the army held the line.

so THAT is why Ankara is the capital of Turkey, and not any of the other cities listed.

what ever happened to the global times discussion forum
The global times is a government owned newspaper in China targeted at western readers.
Years ago I poked around on their discussion forum. There was government criticism. Not to the level we see in the west, but strong enough that it made me confident that while China was still a dictatorship, it was still a somewhat free one.
After all the news about Xi tightening his grip on power, I decided to see how that forum was doing, to see if they'd purged criticism, or if things were still 'free'
However, the forum is gone. Wiped, it seems, a few years back.
Perhaps on the orders of Xi?

Poverty in Canada: unmarried? no kids? screw you
http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/even-as-long-form-census-data-returns-statscan-readies-for-day-without-it-1.4368638
from the article:
35,151,728: Canadian population on census day 2016.
4.8 million: Canadians, including children, living below the poverty line in 2015.
= 13.655% of Canadians living below the poverty line.
https://www.canada.ca/en/employment-social-development/programs/poverty-reduction/backgrounder.html
this appears to be the "low income measure"
$70,336: Median household income in 2015
http://www12.statcan.gc.ca/census-recensement/2016/dp-pd/hlt-fst/fam/Table.cfm?Lang=E&T=21&Geo=00
14,072,080 households in canada.
math
$17,584 a year is the cut off.
regardless, being unmarried makes you chance of being poor much much higher. Only being native, or having a severe disability is more of an indicator of you being below this line.
Canada's rate of people who are poor (with poor defined as below that income) is comparable to Lithuania, Italy, Portugal, Korea, Greece, Spain, Chile, and the United States. Compare to countries like Germany, Ireland, Sweden, or France, which have rates 2/3rds what we do, or Iceland, Denmark, or Czechia which all have rates less than half what we do.
In short, if you are not married, the government (given its policy history) is fine with you being poor.

pizza toppings
From time to time, if I'm good with my money, I can afford to get a pizza.
The nearby pizza shop has a deal for a party pizza for $20 plus tax for walk in. with 3 toppings.
If I get that I get double ground beef and pepperoni.
Sometimes I only get 1 topping on a particular pizza, as perhaps I'm using another deal, in which case it is ground beef.
I sometimes get frozen pizzas, but always stuff like Canadian or Meatlovers.
I get a lot of questions about pizza toppings, but when they are asked is the exact moment I want to shove yummy pizza into my mouth and not type! so. I made this!
