Have I found my calling?

just asked somebody on FB:

who runs filing systems
like physicalish ones. kind of
cause when I worked at the fox museum I re-organized the filing system cause it sucked. like for funsies. cause I had time. and cause I couldnt find nothing. and all sorts of stuff wasnt entered, or was but not properly
THEN in security when my boss went away for a week and made me the interim boss I re-organized the filing system there as well
THEN at my next job I did the same for another stuff, and now I'm doing it for the internet game I'm helping moderate
so uh
can I turn that into a job? and if so what's that called

  1. If you enjoy organizing things and creating order out of the chaos that is most filing work, then sure there are jobs out there like that - but a lot of them would just have that as part of your duties, thinking of secretarial or basic office work.

What you'd want to get into for sure is the digital filing world. A lot of companies are still making the transition from physical filing to digital libraries. If you can find training in that and then some placement, I'd take it up, you'd enjoy it I think. Maybe you could even learn to design filing systems.
