a bill with 0 usage is $24.02
the base delivery rate is $22.63
the base regulatory charge is 25 cents.
on this is HST (tax) of 13%.
There is then a 8% rebate from the province; their portion of this tax.
100 kWh adds 2.13 to delivery
1000 kWh adds 21.71 to delivery
every 1 kWh adds $0.0213 to the delivery charge
every 1 kWh adds $0.0043 to the regulatory charge
on a tiered plan, the first 600 kWh are charged at $0.077 per kWh

I can get up to $68 a month from the government on account of me being poor, and using electric heating.
using my old math in the previous post, I would pay $191.17
certainly less than I calculated it last time, likely thanks to government efforts to reduce bills.
With the full rebate it would be $123.17
however
without electric heating, my bill would go down to about $130.93. I'd only be able to get a $45 rebate, but with that, we are at $85.93
ODSP gives me $479 for rent.
I currently pay $535, all inclusive. That means heat, and hydro (electricity) are included in the rental price.
Assuming I found places for $479 (not bloody likely) I'd end up paying either $565 or $602 pending if heat is included or not (it usually is)
As such I'm $30 better off staying exactly where I am no matter what. The only way I'd be even better off is if some all inclusive place that's only charging $479 for rent became open.

if all temperature control was included, both heating and air conditioning, my bill drops to $72.37.
to be clear, I use $72.37 in electricity for everything not heating or cooling and $118.80 for heating and cooling.

In reality, I don't run all these things at once. The computer is always on and the light is always on. Unless it's very hot or very cold I don't use the AC or Heater on max, and I don't use both at the same time. The fridge is always plugged in, but it's on the same fuse as the other cooking equipment and I've learned that of the 4 of them (toaster, kettle, hotplate large burner, hotplate small burner) that I can only use 2 at the same time without blowing the fuse. So the max from that fuse would be the fridge, toaster, and kettle, at 2750, plus the computer, light, and temperature units on the other plug, at under 2000, give us a total of a bit over 5000.
The "always on" stuff (computer, fridge, lights, monitors) is 670. I do have a digital camera that's charging, some "night lights", and an alarm clock radio, but even assuming they sucked up power like crazy, in short
a 2500W generator would serve me, and a 2000W generator could be made to work as well.

If my math is right, I use only 18kWh to cook, but use 432 keeping the lights on, the fridge running, and the computer working

My bill would be $250, presuming I use 1500kWh, which is reasonable, as the actual math adds to near 1450
My landlord pays that $250, as my rent is all-inclusive.
Given I pay $535 a month, it is starting to make sense why he never seems to have money for repairs.
Ironically, he does not have money to properly insulate the building; which would likely chop a massive amount off his hydro bill. If all ~20 other residents are using as much power as I am, he's paying $5K a month, and he could cut that perhaps as much as half by just properly insulating the place.

Your first question may be "why"
I don't want to talk to you, at least, not right now. I've had problems in the past, however, that due to some people's PM settings, that I have been unable to chat to people during a "crisis".
For example, some kind of major controversy impacting any group we share (perhaps we are both MPs, or in the same party, or we are moderators of different political simulations) and during fast paced situations (like a party collapse) it can be important to PM someone directly and quickly without having to beg for their attention to get added as a friend.
Additionally, being a friend means that if you click on a profile of a user in discord it will show all your "mutual friends". As current DRA (discord role assistance) in CMHoC, it can be my job to role new members when the mods are offline; and having a large number of "mutual friend" possibilities helps me identify and separate the spammers from the legit new players.
In short, adding you as a friend now (vs when I do actually need to speak to you) is simply administrative hygiene; it is a good thing to do in advance of a situation where time may be of the essence.

Rome Alt Hist, Part 1
In this alternate history, there is a modern Roman Empire. However, to make the game easier to play, it is not a continuous empire, but rather, a re-created one.
The exact history of the world is never outlined, and for a good reason. It's no use to get hung up in specifics of alternate history. Only the general historical movements are outlined, while the rest of history, somehow, happens the way it does in our timeline.
The first empire was that of Augustus, and Constantine, the Roman Empire we think of when we think of Rome. It is often called the Italian Empire, as in, "the time the Empire was ruled by Italians", and not as in "The Empire of Italy"
The second empire is that of Justinian, and Maurice, AKA the Byzantine Empire, or Greek Empire. It is only considered a separate empire from the first in hindsight, and until the rule of Phillip the great, was seen as simply a continuation of the first empire.
The third empire was only ever declared in hindsight, hundreds of years after the fact. It is the empire of Charlemagne, and Lothair, and is often known as the French Empire.
The fourth empire is that of Charles, and Phillip the great. Declared retroactively by Phillip, after inheriting both Austria and Spain from his father Charles, this empire was united when Germany, Italy, and Spain joined with England, which Phillip had claims to through his marriage, and invaded France, annexing the country, in 1560. This is often known as the German Empire.
The fifth and current empire was created in 1949, after WW2. After the United States decided not to get involved in the war, the UK and USSR were able to win the war, with the USSR occupying most of Europe. The USSR, now controlling all of europe to the Pyrenees, attempted to put communist governments in power in the various nations, and using nationalism to keep them seperate from one another, to prevent them working together against Moscow. This would prove a failure, as Russia was drastically overstretched, and a series of revolts from 1947-1949, explicitly opposing Russian attempts to appeal to Nationalism and impose Communism, ended with the creation of the modern Roman Empire. As most of the revolts had been funded by, and heavily organized by the United Kingdom, many call the current empire the British Empire; that is "the time the Empire was ruled by the British", and not as in "The Empire of Britain"
Both WW1 and WW2 are seen within the Empire as "civil wars", and a coherent argument could be made that the Empire had been in existence since around 1800 and had been re-founded by Napoleon, as even at the start of WW1, the supposedly independent nations had strong ties with one another. The only thing allowing the war was the fact that the Empire had officially been in an interregnum since the defeat of Napoleon. After WW2 this was rectified with the selection of a new Emperor.

twitter rant
@kimgoodwin I'm not at all confidant that my tweet will be read, or much less, honestly replied to; but, I just read your article here http://www.bbc.com/capital/story/20180727-mansplaining-explained-in-one-chart and have some concerns about what it leaves out. For starters, I have autism and do not always pick up social queues
Secondly, I love explaining things to people. All things. At all times. People say "oh, that mall there must be convenient" and I say "yes! Did you know they re-did the entire inside so you can no longer walk from end to end!" It's part of who I am. I'm excited to explain things.
Yes, I've had a few people accuse me of being arrogant or condescending. A lot of people have said I'm pedantic. I accept these things about myself, but also accept some people and I simply have incompatible personalities.
My concern is thus that by talking to a woman the same way I talk to a man, I became a "sexist mansplainer". I'm not saying women should 'take it like a man would', they can call me a condescending arrogant pedant; but a sexist??
It has quite literally made me withdraw from social sociations at an increasingly often rate. Especially after I read an article like yours. It says to me "if you happen to be talking to a woman, you are a sexist"
It is quite possible my autism means I'm missing something; and, a lot of what I read deals with business conversations, while I am on disability and not currently employed. Regardless, all this does it make me feel bad about myself as a person for loving explaining things.
Right now I'm listening to a podcast that can be best described as "a man explains a part of history for 45 mins". I just finished watching a lets play video that's very heavy on explanations. I love explanations. I live explanations. Explaining is one of the few things I do well
In sum. My reaction has simply been to withdraw from social interaction. I'm not certain that this is the intent of the people who are pushing the term intended, and I'm not sure how else to react to this. Especially online if I don't know if I'm talking to a man or a woman.
Instead of having personality flaws like being a condescending arrogant pedant, I am now a sexist. I am a "bad person". I feel bad for being a bad person. I cut back on the little social interaction I do get, and simply feel alone all the time.
And. That's it I guess. There isn't much you can do I don't think. I'm sorry for directing all of this at you as well, as, this all has been building inside me for quite some time now. I really don't have much more I feel I can say.

syrian civil war, predicting war movements
I thought an attack in the south would be the next logical movement for the government. They then made just such an attack.
I want to see if my martial mind is worth anything. This is my projection for the next major attack. The direction of the first thrust, and next major attack. Not much beyond the arrows for that first thrust. Lets see.
