Trump has knocked down some important precedents that have protected us. He's turned the "government" into a mean spirited, malicious, tool that is used for electoral gain. He's taken the most drastic and important steps in doing so that anyone has since Andrew Jackson.

Trump isn't the danger. Trump's actions will enable the next president to do worse.

If Trump serves 8 years he won't leave until 2024. The next guy, if he serves 8 years, will be there till 2030.

CONTEXT:
In that time he can continue the trend and knock down more precedents that protect us. Consider this in a canadian context. A lot of the rules governing what we do - like that the Prime Minister resigns after losing an election - are just 'precedents'.

So, now this new guy leaves office after having knocked down more precedent. His actions, in knocking down that additional precedent, will enable the next guy to knock down more.

So its 2038 and the government is getting a bit totalitarian and there's an election. Thanks to his tradition, the next guy can easily continue knocking down protections.

2046. This is when we can, and if this trend continues, elect a Stalin or a Hitler.

This is why what's being done is so dangerous.

It's not about what Trump can do that's dangerous. Its that he sets up a trend, that if it continues for another generation.

Leads straight to another fucking Hitler.

Because after 30 years of Trump, Worse Trump, Worse Worse Trump, and Worse Worse Worse Trump, Hitler does not looks so bad.
